Architektur-Exkursion nach Indien

Völlig begeistert und mit vielen Eindrücken kamen die Studierenden aus dem Fachbereich Architektur und Städtebau der Hochschule Darmstadt von der Architekturexkursion nach Indien im Frühjahr 2023 zurück und setzten diese in der Ausstellung bei den CreativeDays in eine Ausstellung um. Poonam Choudhry, Designerin, Autorin, Dozentin an der Hochschule Darmstadt, hat die Architekturexkursion nach Indien organisiert und begleitet.

Mit dieser Erfahrung bearbeiteten sie das Thema von geplanten und ungeplanten Quartieren in Indien. Dafür präsentierten sie Recherchen und Analyse in der Ausstellung und entwickelten ein Ausstellungssystem aus Bambusrohren, wie sie in Indien für Baugerüste verwendet werden. Umrahmt wurden diese von Impressionen mit ihren Fotos und mitgebrachten Materialien von ihrer Exkursion nach Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Agra und Delhi.
Semesterarbeiten zur Stadtentwicklung in Mumbai wurden ergänzend dazu in einer Ausstellung im Foyer des Hospitalhof inszeniert.

Architecture Excursion to India

The students from the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences returned from their architectural excursion to India in spring 2023 full of enthusiasm and impressions, which they transformed into an exhibition at CreativeDays. Poonam Choudhry, designer, author, lecturer at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, organized and accompanied the architecture excursion to India.

With this experience, the students from the Department of Architecture and Urban Design at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (hda) worked on the topic of planned and unplanned quarters in India. To this end, they presented research and analysis in the exhibition and developed an exhibition system made of bamboo tubes, as used in India for scaffolding. These were framed by impressions with their photos and materials from their journey to Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi.
Semester projects on urban development in Mumbai were also staged in an exhibition in the foyer of the Hospitalhof.
