connect.exchange. | Architecture Excursion to India

Architektur-Exkursion nach Indien

Durch die Einladung der Architekten, Stadtplaner und Professoren Rohan Shivkumar, Mumbai, und Dita Leyh, Hochschule Darmstadt zum CreativeDays SYMPOSIUM 2019 von poonamdesigners Studio in Stuttgart, entstand im Februar 2023 ein gemeinsamer Workshop zum Thema Stadtplanung mit 22 deutschen Studierende der Hochschule Darmstadt und Studierende der KRVIA am in Mumbai.

Architecture Excursion to India
Through the invitation for the CreativeDays SYMPOSIUM of the architects, urban planners and professors Rohan Shivkumar, Mumbai, and Dita Leyh, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences to the CreativeDays SYMPOSIUM of poonamdesigners Studio in Stuttgart, a joint workshop on urban planning came about in February 2023 with 22 German students from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and Indian students from in Mumbai.

Poonam Choudhry, Designerin, Autorin, Dozentin an der Hochschule Darmstadt, hat die Architekturexkursion nach Indien organisiert und begleitet. Die Reise führte nach Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Agra und Delhi.
Am KRVIA at the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies in Mumbai wurde dabei ein gemeinsamer Workshop durchgeführt.

Poonam Choudhry, designer, author, lecturer at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, organized and accompanied the architecture excursion to India. The journey went to Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi.
A joint workshop was held at the KRVIA at the Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies in Mumbai.

Our new format at the CreativeDays Stuttgart is to bringing together women. We will have exchange, give and take experiences, get impulses and more. It will also have a link to the economy and politics and we will have a special guest for every BUSINESS LUNCH, which will take place four times a year. Our first invited guest is Shirin Brückner, Architect, CEO, ATELIER BRÜCKNER.

This years‘ CreativeDays edition is about „Cities for People – Designing Human Spaces“. The speakers will give lectures about their latest projects and talk about the future of sustainable, circular design, material and architecture for the future of cities. How can wie design and promote the circulatory system? Which materials are sustainable? Which kind of architecture and spaces should be designed to support the Well-Being of people? How have places to be designed to serve and remain people’s health?

CreativeDays – SYMPOSIUM
Das von poonamdesigners Studio organisierte CreativeDays-Symposium lädt erneut lokale internationale Designer, Architekten, Stadtplaner und Denker ein. Ein Fokus ist dabei Mumbai, da sie die Partnerstadt von Stuttgart ist.
Dieses jahr mit dem Thema „Cities for People – Designing Human Spaces“. Dafür zeigen die Redner Beispiele aus ihren aktuellen und neuen Projekten und reden über ihre zukünftigen Gedanken zu Gestaltung im Design und in der Architektur. Sie spüren drängenden Fragen nach, wie zirkuläres Design und nachhaltige Bauweisen wichtig für die Zukunft der Städte: Wie können wir das Kreislaufsystem gestalten und fördern? Welche Materialien sind nachhaltig? Welche Architektur- und Raumgestaltung unterstützt das Wohlbefinden des Menschen? Welche Orte können so gestaltet werden, damit sie das Well-Being des Menschen bewahren und dienen?
